SchoolDates — School Events to Google Calendar

What we access

SchoolDates accesses your Gmail account in read-only mode. We only read emails from the school domain you specify. We also access Google Calendar to create events on your behalf.

How we process your data

Email content is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for event extraction. Email content is processed in real-time and not stored by SchoolDates. We only store:

Your email address and name (from Google sign-in)
Email message IDs (for deduplication — not the email content)
Event hashes (to prevent duplicate calendar entries)
Your settings (school domain, partner email, timezone)

Token security

Your Google OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AWS Key Management Service (KMS). Access tokens are never cached and are refreshed on every sync.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is only shared with:

Google APIs (to read emails and create calendar events)
Anthropic Claude API (to extract events from email content)
Stripe (to process payments)

Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard. When you delete your account, we revoke all Google tokens, cancel any active subscription, and permanently remove all your data from our systems.
